"Mobile Signature: SIM cards as Secure Signature Creation Devices" - Dr. Deniz Tunçalp

Turkcell have launched mobile electronic signature infrastructure with participation of the 5 largest banks of Turkey as application providers in 20 February 2007. The scheme has been using GSM SIM cards as SSCDs and attracted attention of many Turkish citizens and application providers. The scheme currently covers more than 30 application providers and more than 1 million signing transactions have already been performed. During the presentation, Turkish experience of implementing and publicizing mobile electronic signatures will be shared and implications will be discussed, drawing conclusions on how digital signature markets can grow and become established into the future to deliver the long-standing promise of electronic signatures.
